Achieve True Diversification

My goal is to earn your trust through transparency. Below is a brief overview of my investment philosophy and how I approach true diversification across multiple asset classes. For a deeper dive into my strategy, check out my book True Diversification: A Basic Guide to Real Diversified Investing.

This is not individual investment advice.

This is the exact strategy I use with my own money, and my goal is to educate first, then help others apply similar principles if it aligns with their financial situation. It’s an aggressive approach and highly risky, which is not right for everyone, as each person’s financial circumstances are unique. This is not a personal recommendation, but rather a brief synopsis on where I invest my own money.

Always start with a financial plan.

Before you begin your journey, it’s important to understand where you are today and where you want to go. Starting with a financial planning conversation ensures your path forward aligns with your goals, values, and long-term vision.

Control Your Finances

The first step is creating a budget to track your monthly cash flow. Prioritizing debt payoff to free up savings is just as important—if not more so—than chasing returns.

Stocks and Bonds

There’s no denying that the stock market has been one of the greatest tools for building wealth in history. It’s essential that it plays a role in everyone’s investment strategy. This often starts with contributing to your employer-sponsored retirement plan (if available) and contributing to a Roth IRA (if eligible).

Physical Metals

Gold and silver are often overlooked, but they serve a vital role in a well-rounded portfolio—not for aggressive growth, but for bottom-line protection. The key to maximizing their value is taking physical possession. After all, if you don’t hold it, you don’t own it.

Digital Assets

Cryptocurrency has faced years of scrutiny, but it’s steadily moving into the mainstream. While still highly volatile and risky, consistently dollar-cost averaging into a position can help you gain exposure to an asset class with the potential for asymmetrical returns within your broader portfolio.

Real Estate

Land remains one of the most valuable assets in the world due to its scarcity—after all, no one can make more of it. Incorporating rental properties into your portfolio can grow your wealth, supplement your income in retirement and continue generating cash flow for future generations long after you’re gone.

Whole Life Insurance

Whole life insurance is often criticized as a poor investment — and in many cases, that’s true when it isn’t structured properly. But when designed the right way, it can offer tax-deferred cash value growth that you can access when needed, while also leaving behind a guaranteed, tax-free inheritance for your heirs (assuming your estate is not subject to estate taxes).

This is strategy is not for everyone.

It is aggressive and very risky. Please consult with a financial advisor before making any investment decisions.
